freebsd 7 stable, which tag??

That would be exactly backwards.    The fewer parts, the closer to
the bleeding edge.    CURRENT is more bleeding edge than STABLE.


Probably you will want RELENG_7 if you want to pick up any changes 
since RELEASE.   I think with RELENG_7_0 you only get security and 
critical error fixes.
