FreeBSD 5.4, installation hangs

Hello! 
The Problem: installation hangs after the menu. 
I try to install FreeBSD 5.4 - RELEASE. 
I use 3 diskettes and CD. 
Here that I see when it happens:

Only 2 commands from menu do not come to these result: 
(6) Escape to loader prompt 
(8) Reboot 

My architecture: 486 DX2 (66 MHz), 420 Mb HDD, 36 Mb RAM. 
Hard disk is formatted by fat16 (or maybe fat32). 
There are MS DOS and some files. 

Possibly problem is with RAM, but i don't shure. 

Is there a chance to see FreeBSD on this computer, or I should bury
this hope?
