Xfce 4.4 and Thunar automounting of USB stick

I had installed Thunar first and then HAL... :)  I just uninstalled
Thunar and rebuilt it with HAL on the system. Auto-mounting works
fine, now.  Problem solved.  Sheesh, I feel silly.
