Good day all, I am having problems getting sound to work on an old Dell Latitude. I configured the sound card following the handbook, and the driver (snd_ich) loads just fine. However I can neither hear anything when doing cat file > /dev/dsp nor can I raise the volume level using the XFCE volume control applet. Any hints? Thanks in advance, Michael
