setxkbmap dosn't work (with KDE)

Hello Yuri, have you checked it without KDE? And what is the output of

  % setxkbmap -v 10

and then of

  % setxkbmap -option '' -v 10
  % setxkbmap -option grp:alts_toggle -v 10

?
