sendmail & dns lookups

These are the steps is followed
1) cd /etc/mail
2) type make
3) edit /etc/mail/<hostname>.mc
4) locate line containing features
5) Inserted this line FEATURE(`nodns')
6) save file and exit
7) in /etc/mail type, make, make install, and make restart
Is this the correct procedure?

cd to /etc/mail
vi your .mc file. It will be named fqdn.of.the.server.mc
add the FEATURE line
run make
