freebsd6.1 nd6_lookup failure -- SOLVED

so, after searching for a half an hour online for this nd6_lookup failure and seeing all questions and no answers i tackled it myself. :)

its really pretty simple.  all you need to do is remove the route that the kernel is complaining about and let it create one it likes.
