defaultroute not loading

[stijn at sandcat] <~> grep defaultrouter /etc/rc.conf
[stijn at sandcat] <~> netstat -rn | grep default
default         UGS         0   484325    xl0
[stijn at sandcat] <~> bsdver
FreeBSD 6.0-RELEASE-p1 #2: Mon Jan  2 12:07:31 CET 2006

No other interfaces, so I'd say it works for me.
