How did the /etc/resolv.conf appear?

I do not use any special DHCP client, but I use mpd(8) to connect via ADSL.

I thought, mpd has created these entries.
But when I temporary moved resolv.conf and restarted the computer, no 
resolv.conf appeared.
So I steel don't know, who created resolv.conf.
