I accidentally deleted my security log file - /var/log/security I used touch to recreate the file, but logging is no longer occurring. I'm not sure why. It doesn't appear to be a permissions issue.....I tried chmod 755 (I won't leave it that way) just to confirm that it wasn't a matter of permissions, but logging is still not occurring. Any ideas?
