(SOLVED)Re: A litte more help with creating a freebsd partition on an external usbdrive

I went back and tried the whole partitioning process again following the 
instructions EXACTLY as laid out in section 16.3.1 of the FreeBSD handbook 
and it worked this time.

Thanks to everyone who offered suggestions.
