Sound on Dell Dimension 8300 (FreeBSD 5.1-RELEASE)

If you have a file named snd_ich.ko in /boot/kernel/:
Try (as root)

#kldload snd_ich.ko

and see if your sound begins to work

(you can check the status of loaded modules with the command kldstat(8))
