Keeping RELEASE_4_10 current?

You can also use cvs to update your ports tree.
And then you could install cvsup via ports and
from there update your system.

I wouldn't build a system tracking CURRENT
(since you needed to ask here how to update your system,
I reckon you'll have many more questions running CURRENT,
I my be wrong of course ;-).

Go for the patch branch or STABLE.
