ftpd: user needs to upload in mode 777

hello!

i got this user who only connects to her account with ftp
to upload pictures to her photoalbum. all the files she uploads
has to be in mode 777 for the photoalbum to work properly;
to generate thumbnails etc.

hence, i've set her .login_conf to:

me:\
  :umask=0:

but still the files she upload aren't in mode 777.
does anybody know?
