ltmdm: Is it only for Lt Lucent chipset?

Hi,
   I was told that there is this ltmdm that was made
to become the driver for an internal modem. I went to
their site and I've read that it is for Lt Lucent
based chipsets. My question is, can I also use it for
a PCtel chipset internal modem?
