linksys pccard

I am running 4.9 stable on an Amstech Roadster 15
laptop.
I was using a linksys Ethernet Card that was working
perfectly until yesterday.Just out of the blue it
began to freeze the whole system when I plug the card
in.Everything works fine when I unplug it.
Do you have any idea why it would be working great,
then just decide to act this way?
