Default make.conf in FreeBSD 5.x?

To clarify: yes, there's a *sample* file here, under /usr/share/examples.

If I want the make.conf to actually be read and used when compiling
something, I still need to move it to /etc/make.conf.

Right?

The file has moved:

$ ls -l /usr/share/examples/etc/make.conf
-r--r--r--  1 root  wheel  - 11815 Jun 10 05:09
/usr/share/examples/etc/make.conf
