Video card compatibility

If your system is up and running, you should post the results of the command 'pciconf -lv' and 'dmesg'
This should tell us what type of hardware you have (perhaps give yourself enough of a hint)

As others on the list have suggested, 4.9 or 5.2.1 might be better version choices.
