Hi,

i just upgraded a FreeBSD 5.3 box to Xorg 6.8.1 and it
went perfectly smoothly, then i tried to upgrade a
4.10 box and im having problems.

i just did the usual portupgrade -rR xorg, and the
entire build process worked fine with no errors. But
when i restarted gdm, it died with the following in my
.xsession-errors:

---
/usr/X11R6/etc/gdm/PreSession/Default: Registering
your session with wtmp and utmp
/usr/X11R6/etc/gdm/PreSession/Default: running:
/usr/X11R6/bin/sessreg -a -w /var/log/wtmp -u /va
r/run/utmp -x "/usr/X11R6/share/gnome/gdm/:0.Xservers"
-h "" -l ":0" "jen"
/usr/X11R6/etc/gdm/Xsession: Beginning session
setup...
/usr/X11R6/etc/gdm/Xsession: Setup done, will execute:
/usr/bin/ssh-agent -- gnome-session

GThread-ERROR **: file gthread-posix.c: line 137
(g_thread_impl_init): error 'Invalid argument' d
uring 'pthread_getschedparam (pthread_self(), &policy,
&sched)'
aborting...
---

i Googled but couldn't find another report of this,
and didnt see anything in freebsd-questions either. i
did rebuild gtk but that didnt
work either.

thanks for help on what to do,

Jen
