ppp and radius authentication

I think you may be well served by a query on the FreeBSD ISP list,
available via http://lists.freebsd.org/mailman/listinfo/freebsd-isp.
If I understand correctly, Radius is generally used by an ISP or
similar entity to (among other things) authenticate users.
