I dont understand this...

Here is what I see:
I have an adaptec 29160 controller..
sa0 at ahc0 bus 0 target 3 lun 0
sa0: <HP C1533A A907> Removable Sequential Access SCSI-2 device
sa0: 10.000MB/s transfers (10.000MHz, offset 32)
da0 at ahc0 bus 0 target 0 lun 0
da0: <QUANTUM ATLAS10K3_18_WLS 020W> Fixed Direct Access SCSI-3 device
da0: 40.000MB/s transfers (20.000MHz, offset 127, 16bit), Tagged Queueing
Enabled
da0: 17537MB (35916548 512 byte sectors: 255H 63S/T 2235C)

It 'sees' both the drive and the tape unit...

However, doing 'mt status' gives me this:
# mt status
mt: /dev/nsa0: Device not configured

yet the dev looks ok:

lrwxr-xr-x   1 root      wheel            4 Apr  4 20:18 nsa0 -> nsa0.0
crw-rw---- 1 root operator 14, 1 Apr 4 20:18 nsa0.0
crw-rw---- 1 root operator 14, 5 Apr 4 20:18 nsa0.1
crw-rw---- 1 root operator 14, 9 Apr 4 20:18 nsa0.2
crw-rw---- 1 root operator 14, 13 Apr 4 20:18 nsa0.3

What am I missing here?

The tape drive works fine on my other *bsd machines...and FreeBSD does see
this unit...

Help?
