recover from failed make build

distclean works fine but fetch fails and tells me so. It reports no route 
to host on repeated attempts. When I go to an Apache mirror I don't see the 
binary for the exact version for FBSD so it makes me a bit nervous.

What's the best thing to do in a case like this?
