Sendmail hosed after hostname changed

seems like sendmail-submit is not running.
check if the following is set in your rc.conf
sendmail_flags="-L sm-mta -bd -q30m"
sendmail_submit_enable="YES"
sendmail_submit_flags="-L sm-mta -bd -q30m -ODaemonPortOptions=Addr=localhost"
by the way, which version of sendmail are you running?
sendmail-submit was introduced with version 8.12.
