Console Syntax Highlighting

You will have to be more specific than this. If you mean color support 
for ls(1) you can run it with the -G switch. You can setup an alias in 
your shells profile to automatically append the -G for you. It looks 
best with the -F switch which appends * to executables and / to directories.
