mounting smb share

Hi

Im having some trouble mounting an smb share.When i use the
following command i can access the smb successfully:
smbclient //server/share -U username.

When i use the following command i get bad passwd: mount -t
smbfs -O username=username //server/share /dir.

Any idea why i would get that?Thanks.
