MYSQL Fresh Reinstall, How?

If you can use portugrade, it was always a simple one-line command on
FBSD-4.x:
# portupgrade -m '-DSKIP_INSTALL_DB' mysql-server-3.xx.xx

The above preserves the databases just fine. Haven't tried it on 5.1
though....
