Newbie: Sound Card

I'm trying to get FreeBSD 4.8 to recognize my sound card a Creative Sound Blaster 32 ISA.

I've run: kldload -v snd_pcm snd_sbc, with the following output:

loaded snd_pcm, id=3
sbc0:<Creative SB16/SB32> at port 0x220-0x22f, 0x330-0x331, 0x388-0x38b irq 5 drq 1,5 on ISA 0
loaded snd_sbc=4

When I reboot I do not get any reference to pcm0 in dmesg.boot

I've tried adding: snd_sbc_load="YES", to the /boot/loader.conf, but this didn't make any difference.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
