Communication problem with KNOTIFY.... what's it?

Hi!

I have one problem in FreeBSD 5.1.... I can't start the STARTX commmand.
When I do next:
startx
I see standart KDE blue screen, but I don't see icons & taskbar..... I see it for ~ 12 seconds and then I see console with:
kinit...
ERROR: communication error with knotify, it probably crashed

What is it?
What i can do next????

Please help my anybody......
