mv from smbfs reboots my machine

jay at xxx ~$ uname -r
5.0-RELEASE-p7

Whenever i try mv /file/from/a/smb/mounted/filesystem /some/local/path
my machine reboots. No message in logs whatsoever. Just "Your system
will reboot, press any key to reboot now" or smth like that. 
why ?
