X dies - out of swap space

It would really be great to see -what- the heck is going into swap.

I have been monitoring with "top" for a few days now. It sits there without 
using any swap at all until I use mozilla. When it does use swap, it 
doesn't empty again. The amount of swap used just seems to grow, even if
I kill the applications that initially filled up some swap.

Is there any way to get more information about swap, other than the 
general memory use reporting of "top"?
