The no boot bug of FreeBSD DVD image is most like caused by an "activated Intel
Management Engine bit pattern" included in the bootloader of the image. I did a
lot of tests, including trying to boot the DVD image from a clone hard disk. I
have figured out a similar "Intel Management Engine bit pattern" in the boot
loader of the Parrot Security Linux DVD image. Compare
