Apple G5 Quad - thermal mgmt issues?

Hmmm, I have a Tiger 10.4.6 dvd that I tried to run Apple Hardware Test on
but no luck.

I examined the DVD contents and indeed there is a Apple Hardware Test
directory. I tried Option key during boot and I get the OF chooser but AHT
doesn't appear as an option. Does anyone know if there is another trick to
get it to boot AHT that I'm missing?

Perhaps I need a more modern Tiger version? If someone has a newer install
disk I can borrow for a day or two just contact me privately.

Thanks!

Rob
