xterm screensave and scrollback functionality

Hi,

How does one configure a simple blank screen screensaver for xterm 
shell/getty sessions?

This doesn't seem to work:

vidcontrol -t N



Also, is there a numlock alternate for apple keyboards (to use xterm 
scrollback functionality)?

The combinations I've tried aren't working.

If there's a way to assign numlock to a key, hints welcome!

Installing freebsd on a ppc is about as close as it gets to turning lead
