clang++: note: diagnostic msg:

Is clang 3.3 modern enough to be appropriate? Might 3.4 have fewer problems (well, more old issues fixed)? Did FreeBSD 10.0 for i386 and amd64 use 3.3? 3.4? Does (later) 9.2-STABLE through 9.3-BETA3 for powerpc and/or powerpc64 include clang 3.4? 3.3? (I think it is clang 3.4 for (later) 9.2-STABLE through 9.3-BETA3 for powerpc/powerpc64 but for now I'm away from the powermacs that I would use to check.)
