[net-im/openfire] CPU utilization

Before I open a bug I wanted to see if anyone else is having this
problem and/or have any suggestions on how to resolve it.  I am using
Openfire version 4.6.2 (net-im/openfire).  There are no functional
issues but I've noticed that the process is always at 100% CPU utilization:

openfire 99371 100.0  2.0 1820876  335772  -  I     8Mar21  22183:09.67 | `-- /usr/local/openjdk8/bin/java -server -jar -Xmx256M -Dopenfire.lib.dir=/usr/local/share/java/openfire/lib -DopenfireHome=/usr/local/share/java/openfire /usr/local/share/java/openfire/lib/startup.jar

Restarting the process fixes it temporarily but returns to it's previous
levels after several hours (sometimes days).  It's not specific to this
machine.  I was previously running it on a virtual FreeBSD machine
(VMWare ESXi) and recently moved it to real hardware.  The CPU
utilization is the same.  It's non-production used for myself.
It's not
a busy server with just 2-3 people on at most.  Server to server
federation is enabled with only an account from jabber.org added in my
contact list.
