Which is something I thought, but hadn't looked into (ie whether it 
would work without libcrypto)

It does however make 9.3 interesting... OpenSSL 0.9.8 not 
supported/maintained anymore and OpenSSH on 9.3 now (possibly) is 
vulnerable to attack...  With 6 months before it is forcibly retired.

Guess that's why there will be no 9.4.
