Great, thanks.  Somehow I doubt that getting Archive::Tar fixed upstream
is going to be particularly easy. Or quick.  Seems they've got open bugs
from more than a decade ago, including some marked Critical.

Would it be an idea to change the EXTRACT_CMD to use ptar(1) (comes with
Archive::Tar) for perl modules, even if only temporarily?
