The vim port needs a refresh

As I previously mentioned, Bram Moolenaar said on 9 May that the patch 
level for 7.3 will not exceed 1000 patches. (

Seeing how they apparently refuse to have normal releases and think 900 
patches is normally, I don't see how Vim developers would ever create a 
special tarball.  If they were willing to do that, they'd just do normal 
releases, right?  This suggestion to talk to Vim is destined to go down 
in flames, especially as version 7.4 is imminent (beta scheduled for end 
of May).
