Xorg totally unusable with KMS and new Xorg on Sandy Bridge system: how to undo

O no, I'm getting rid of KMS and WITH_NEW_XORG because they produce an unusable Xorg installation that just crashes the system and requires Reset button.

I guess I need to use portmaster with --force-config on x11/xorg ?
