I'm building head at the moment (so I can't check in the stable/8
environment just now). But I see:
g1-227(10.0-C)[1] grep LC .cshrc
setenv LC_ALL C
g1-227(10.0-C)[2]
(which is the same ~/.cshrc that I use when running stable/8), so I
strongly suspect that:
g1-227(10.0-C)[2] locale
LANG=en_US.ISO8859-1
LC_CTYPE="C"
LC_COLLATE="C"
LC_TIME="C"
LC_NUMERIC="C"
LC_MONETARY="C"
LC_MESSAGES="C"
LC_ALL=C
g1-227(10.0-C)[3]
is the same result I will get when I reboot back to stable/8 to try it.
