In theory, it tickles administrators to look for alternatives if they
depend on the port or fork a working copy of the port in their local
infrastructure and provides a deadline for this to action to be
completed. BROKEN is supposed to be a temporary state, leading to a fix.
DEPRECATED is a temporary state leading to removal.
