I maintain the multimedia/libvpx port, and tried to reproduce your issue on my
tinderbox, but unable to. Following are the logs to help you find the issue:

http://people.freebsd.org/~ashish/logs/libvpx-0.9.1-amd64.log (amd64)
http://people.freebsd.org/~ashish/logs/libvpx-0.9.1-i386.log (i386)

Can you mention what shell are you using ?
