I really suspect that http_proxy having been set to localhost.:8118 with
nothing listening on 8118 was very likely the problem. portmaster is still
rebuilding stuff, so I'll have to wait a while to try running portsnap again
without http_proxy. If it still doesn't work at that point, I'll try your
suggestion above.
