vlc & mplayer lost window borders and controls

yes, same here. i had rebuilt everything related to libxcb before 
porting this thread.
with vlc i had to opt for qt4 now, but gmplayer still as per reports.

do we need to rebuild mcuh with the new xorg-server? or is that only 
necessary for libs?
