I can't ge jdk16 on AMD64 Current to compile,
nor jdk15 that I need to build OpenOffice.

You could try installing say linux-sun-jdk15 or linux-sun-jdk16 and
specifying WITH_LINUX_BOOTSTRAP when compiling jdk15 or jdk16.
