Well after thinking about blank +REQUIRED I thought a little more
#cd /usr/ports/security/krb5
#make deinstall
#make clean
then
# cd /usr/ports/net/samba3
# make clean
# make config
# make
# make install
And HEY PRESTO
I have samba3 working..

All of which goes to show that its what you can get rid of that really matters!!
