FreeBSD Port: security/isakmpd

Is this port considered active?  It hasn't seen any updates for quite 
some time.  If no one else wants to maintain it (simon at freebsd.org used 
to be listed as the maintainer), I would like to investigate assuming 
the responsibility.

Is there any previous porting information (hints) available?

Is there some underlying reason for not keeping it up to date?

Am I the only one using it?

I saw some recent exchanges discussing the problems with building 
isakmpd against an updated openssl.
Was that resolved?
