ports_glob(1): Updating the portsdb - Updating EVERY time ! ... Why

Hi all,
Can anyone tell me why /var/tmp/INDEX-7.db is getting updated _every_ single
time a run ports_glob(1) ? E.G.
#ports_glob "*wifi*"
[Updating the portsdb <format:bdb_btree> in /var/tmp ... - 16938 port entries found
.........1000.........2000.........3000.........4000.........5000.........6000.....
....7000.........8000.........9000.........10000.........11000.........12000.......
..13000.........14000.........15000.........16000......... ..... done]
net/wmwifi
