hmm - well it was already installed.

# pkg_info | grep Pod
p5-Pod-Escapes-1.04 For resolving Pod E<...> sequences
p5-Pod-Parser-1.34  Modules to work with POD (Plain Old Documentation)
p5-Pod-Simple-3.03  Framework for parsing Pod
p5-Pod-Tests-0.18   Extracts embedded tests and code examples from POD


let me try reinstalling it.  unless you have any other suggestions?
