Bug in Apache 1.3.35 ... or something changed ... ?

Can you confirm that this works?  I *thought* I had tried that after 
reading the docs, and it didn't work ...but it may be that I read it and 
just think I tried it :(

Unfortunately, I've already reverted by boxes to 1.3.34, so I can't easily 
test :(
